In August I had the privilege of two Girlfriends volunteering to get my studios in shape. Katrina and Cindy came over and weeded through the studio paraphernalia and got me to a state of Nirvana. I don’t have much in the way of before photos, but here are a few from the first 4 months in our new home:

We had no plan of attack other than to get it done. Katrina arrived that Friday afternoon and we started emptying all of ...

Yes, we are now in our new home on top of the ridge. We moved in the weekend of my 65th birthday. The last 5 months have been jam-packed with unpacking, cleaning, sifting through things we haven’t looked at in 3 years…and it’s glorious.
And things are getting settled, slowly—we were only able to take 2 days off when we moved in April, and since then the only time we have had off was when our granddaughter stayed with us for 3 weeks—and that was ...

A week before we left I thought I would visit the local quilt shops, but since we flew and could not get a rental car, and Uber and Lyft rides cost double what they did when ...

Even without the pandemic, life took some crazy turns for us in 2020. Hubs and I made decisions regarding our future, and I had to make some decisions regarding my work life.
Due to work life, school took a back seat. I dropped the classes I had enrolled in that would have started mid-January 2020; the workload ramped up that same week. Over a year later, I’m working from home 11-12 hours per ...

Oh, so much to share and tell. I have a lengthy post coming soon, but today, TODAY! Starting today, I have 5 consecutive days to make my beloved sewing space to where I can use it! Of course, other unpacking will happen, too, but the Studio—I’m giddy!
So just to give you a sneak peek as to what our surroundings have been for the past 5 weeks, here you go, take a look at my Instagram account, @aprimandnotsoproperquilter.
